What this document covers

These Terms govern your use of QueryBen, a desktop application published by Injoya LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading or running QueryBen, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

QueryBen is a local desktop application. It runs on your computer and connects to database servers you specify. We don't operate the databases you connect to, and we don't store your data.

License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use QueryBen on devices you own or control, for any lawful purpose. The source code is published on GitHub under the MIT License. See the repository for the full license text.

You may not redistribute modified builds under the QueryBen name or our branding.

What we collect (short answer: almost nothing)

QueryBen is a desktop application. It does not connect to Injoya LLC servers during normal operation. Your database credentials, query results, and schema data never leave your machine through us. See the Privacy Policy for the full account.

The download page (queryben.com) is a static website hosted on Render. Standard web server access logs may be retained by Render per their own policies.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the databases you connect to and the queries you run. QueryBen is a client. It executes the SQL you write against the server you point it at. We have no visibility into, or liability for, the data accessed or modified through the application.

Don't use QueryBen to access systems you don't have authorization to access.

No warranty

QueryBen is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime (there is no server to have uptime), fitness for a particular purpose, or absence of defects. This is v0.1.2 software. There will be bugs. Report them on GitHub.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Injoya LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of QueryBen is limited to the amount you paid for it. Because QueryBen is free, that amount is zero.

We are not liable for data loss, accidental query execution, or any other harm resulting from use of the application.

Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, the "Effective" date at the top changes. Continued use of QueryBen after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
